Twenty-year-old Collis Goodluck a miner of Charity Squatting area in Region Two and of Lot 145 Dartmouth, Essequibo Coast, was on Wednesday charged with two counts of assault.
The court heard that Goodluck, on Saturday January 21, 2023, assaulted two Peace Officers, Constable 22962, Arvin Singh, and Constable 25125, Akeem Peters, at the Charity Police Station, Essequibo Coast.
Goodluck, who appeared before Magistrate Esther Sam at the Anna Regina Magistrate’s Court, pleaded not guilty to both charges after they were read to him. Bail was refused to Goodluck after the prosecutor’s objection and the defendant was remanded to prison. The matter was put down for Monday 30th January, 2023, at the Charity Magistrate’s Court.
