SBM Offshore, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, has officially launched the inaugural Guyana-Monaco Mousetrap Car Grand Prix Competition.

In a release yesterday, SBM Offshore explained that the Monaco Mousetrap Car Grand Prix is an international competition held annually in the Principality of Monaco, in Europe. In the competition, high school students use the laws of physics to create a model race car, utilising a mousetrap to propel the car by triggering the original trap mechanism. The competition was created under the patronage of Prince Albert II of Monaco to promote science and engineering to students in a fun, exciting way.
