Twenty-three-year-old Kevin August of no fixed place of abode was yesterday remanded to prison on the charge of simple larceny.
August was arraigned in the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court before Principal Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus. The charge states that on January 27th at George Street, Georgetown, he stole 10 Bento electronic compressors valued $355,000 and other items amounting to a total value of $365,000 as well as five other compressors valued at $100,000. The Administration of Justice Act was not applied and August was remanded to prison until February 20th.
