The Guyana Police Force says that the file on a fracas last December at the Providence Police Station is with the Chambers of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for legal advice.
Crime Chief, Wendell Blanhum yesterday told Stabroek News that investigators had to clear up some points raised by legal advisors in the matter and the file is presently with the DPP for further legal advice. Blanhum added that the DPP will advise whether the Police have sufficient evidence to prosecute anyone or whether any further investigations should be carried out.
