Guyanese-British actress, Letitia Wright yesterday visited Queen’s College as part of her whirlwind visit here and she was given a rousing reception by hundreds of students from across the country.
At Queen’s College, the programme honouring the actress entailed a variety of choreographed pieces in drama, dance and songs. Wright stated that she had wanted to visit schools and interact with the children because it is important for them to be inspired so that they can have hope and hold on to their dreams to pave a better future. Wright encouraged the students to believe in their dreams and to put their best foot forward. She said that many hurdles were in her path but she kept chasing after her dreams.
Wright on Monday visited the Ministry of Education Radio Station (EdYou FM) and advised that “everyone’s journey is quite different, everyone’s journey is quite unique. It’s very important not to compare your pathway nor your dreams to other people but to figure out the unique purpose that God has placed into your heart and to follow that. The results don’t look like other people’s results…. Money, cars, clothes and fame does not equate to success. Please chase the purpose that God placed in your heart and everything will follow.”
