I was given the royal run around by this shipping company

Please all me the opportunity to vent the experience I had with this shipping company. I shipped a barrel (door to door) with this company since September of last year and was told that the barrel would arrive and delivered within six to eight weeks. Upon several contacts up to late December with my relatives in Guyana, I learnt that they did not receive the barrel. Very early in January, I called their Canadian office and was given the royal run around for two weeks. They finally delivered the barrel on January 15, 2023. When my relatives open the barrel, to their surprise the barrel was about 3/4 full.

After examining the contents and a call to me to verify, we found that a lot of expensive items were missing and some were broken. I was furious. I immediately called their Canadian office to register my disgust at what had happened only to be going around in circles again. After two more grueling weeks I was told to send an email with a list is the missing items and to call to follow up the email to which I comply.

When I called, the female staff I spoke to blatantly denied that the missing items were in the barrel. To add to her denial she was very rude and didn’t want to listen to me. She even told me that my relatives stole from the barrel and claim that stuff were missing. At this point she pushed me to the limit and I just hung up.
