The South Dakota Circuit will be transformed into a battleground of the fastest cars on February 19 when the Guyana Motor Racing and Sports Club stages Drag Wars 1.0.
This highly anticipated event is set to get off to a flying start from 09:00hrs.
The Drag Race meet, the first of its kind for the 2023 season, will take on an international flavour with competitors from Suriname set to invade the circuit.
However, the local speedsters will be eager to defend home turf against the enthusiastic and confident Dutch racers who would no doubt be putting pedal to the metal for the silverware and bragging rights.
Organisers are urging patrons to come out and witness an exciting and adrenaline filled day of racing as Guyana’s daredevils come up against its Drag Racing arch rivals.
So far, Team Mohamed’s, Banks DIH Limited and E-Networks are the sponsors backing the event.
Admission is $1,000 for adults and $500 per child.
