Security guard remanded on robbery charge

Michael McPherson, a security guard of West Front Road, Georgetown was yesterday remanded to prion after he was charged with robbing a woman of her cellphone.

The charge against McPherson, who made his appearance at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court, alleges that on February 9th at Kingston, Georgetown, while being armed with a dangerous weapon, he robbed Crystal Alli of a Samsung Galaxy cellphone valued $65,000.

The defendant was not required to plead to the charge which was laid indictably. He was remanded to prison by Senior Magistrate Leron Daly until March 6th.
