Fitness Express is once again helping to shoulder the load of Guyana’ s Strongest Man, Carlos Petterson-Grifith.
Yesterday, Jamie McDonald, CEO of Guyana’s leading gym equipment and fitness supplement supplier presented a sponsorship pact to aid the behemoth’s journey to The Ragnarok Games in Miami, Florida.
The Ragnarok Games, a Strongman event from February 25-26, will bring the strongest, meanest and baddest men and women on the planet to compete for the title of “Berserker”. In excess of 200 gladiators from 45 countries are scheduled to compete.
“Fitness Express is helping to sponsor some of the expenses associated with Carlos’ trip to the Ragnarok Games in Miami this month” said McDonald yesterday. Following the event, the last man and woman standing will be the only one worthy of wielding Mjölnir, the hammer of the Mighty Thor.
The competition will test not only the strength of your body but also the strength of your mind and soul. Petterson-Grifith who has won numerous local and Regional Strongman competitions will have to dig deeper than he ever has before.
Nicknamed ‘The Showstopper’, Petterson-Grifith stated that he is up to the task and thanked McDonald for being one of his long standing benefactors during his decorated career in Strongman and Powerlifting. He concluded by saying that he will do his best and the nation proud.
