Dear Editor,
I write at the risk of incurring the wrath of Dr. Randy Persaud. In a rush to write his vitriolic letter [12 February 2023] against Melinda Janki and Gary Girdhari, he did a Google search on cars and then misread the statistics. The goodly doctor stated that per capita motor vehicle for Guyana was 285. Dr. Randy that should have clued you in: it was not cars per person [per capita] but cars per 1,000 persons.
I can hear the echoes of my father in my head: staan easy is better than beg pardon. But then again me ears hard; I never listened to him.
