The Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) yesterday released its fixtures for the weekend with the several matches in the Atlantic Marine Supplies Suzuki Motorcycles second division T20 tournament. At the Bourda-based Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) 4R Lions will face Diplomats in the opening match at 09.30 hours followed by the hosts battling Guyana National Industrial Cooperation (GNIC) from 13.30 hours.
Over at Queen’s College Police take on Positive Foundation Agricola in the morning followed by Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) and Diplomats in the afternoon.
Malteenoes Sports Club will host DCC at 09.30 hours followed by Everest Cricket Club and 3Rd Class going toe to toe in the afternoon.
On Sunday, Everest battles DCC at Queen’s College in the morning followed by 3rd Class facing GNIC in the afternoon. In Zone A Malteenoes lead the pack with 119 points with GCC one point behind. 4R Lions are on 74 points while Muslim Youth Organisation are on 71 points. Everest and DCC are tied on 50 points followed by GNIC (43 points), 3rd Class (31 points) and Diplomats (26 points).
Police lead Zone B with 116 points with Transport Sports Club (114 points) and Bel Air Rubis (112 points) not far behind. Queen’s College and Guyana Defense Force are on 96 and 91 points respectively while Ace Warriors (59 points), Agricola (46 points) and Sophia (40 points) round off the table.
Meanwhile, the Ramchand Auto Spares/Survival Group of Companies under-19 50-over tournament continues on Sunday with GCC facing GT XI at 09.30 hours at GCC and DCC going up against GNIC at Malteenoes.
