Keba Evelyn of West Demerara Secondary was yesterday declared the winner of this year’s poetry competition: 14 to 18 years in the Children’s Mashramani Competition.
Her poem was ‘Racism Oh Racism’. Second place went to Justine Hamer of North Ruimveldt Multilateral with the poem ‘Precipice’ and the third place went to Ciara Dowden of Three Miles Secondary with ‘Perspective’.
