Minister of Agriculture Zulfikar Mustapha and Prime Minister Mark Phillips on Sunday handed over a tractor to the Whim/Bloomfield Corentyne NDC, valued some $5 million.
A Ministry of Agriculture press release stated that the new machine was procured by the Ministry of Agriculture’s Agriculture Sector Development Unit under the RAID Project. The NDC officials were urged to use it to develop the community.
Mustapha said that several requests were made for a tractor to help farmers and to assist with garbage collection and disposal within the NDC.
