Michael Whaul, 37, of Lot 54 Onderneeming Sand Pit, Essequibo Coast, appeared at the Suddie Magistrate’s Court on Friday where the charge of possession of cannabis was read to him.
According to a release yesterday from the police, Whaul was charged with possession of 41.8 grams of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking which occurred on 23 February, at Lot 54 Onderneeming Sand Pit, Essequibo Coast,
He pleaded not guilty to the charge before Magistrate Esther Sam and the prosecutor objected to bail which was overruled by the magistrate. Bail was subsequently granted in the sum of $25,000.
The case has been adjourned to March 17.
