On Friday, a juvenile who is now reintegrated into society benefited from the government’s “Fresh Start” Initiative, under the auspices of the Guyana Prison Service.
A release from the Ministry of Home Affairs said that the “Fresh Start” programme is dedicated to reducing criminal recidivism and is also aimed at expanding opportunities for occupational training, with a focus on ensuring that inmates develop job skills.
As part of this effort, tools were provided to support the juvenile in further developing his craft and skills.
