Police in Berbice yesterday arrested three men in a boat on the Brebice River after they were found with live cartridges in their possession and inhumanely transporting a cow by tying it to the side of the boat.
According to a release from the police the men were intercepted following an intelligence led operation by the police and members of the Coast Guard at Light Town, Berbice River.
In addition to the 12 live cartridges and the cow two outboard engines, one gas tank and one tool kit were also found. The three men are said to between the ages of 32 and 74.
