On Monday, Minister of Health, Dr Frank Anthony met with a team from Donation and Transplant Institute (DTI) Barcelona and the Pan American Health Organisation/ World Health Organisation (PAHO/WHO) Headquarters (HQ) at his Brickdam office.
This meeting was held to discuss a joint Transplant Mission in Guyana, a release from the Ministry of Health said.
Representing the foreign delegation were Dr Chloe Balleste and Dr Eduardo Rocha from DTI and Dr Mauricio Beltran and Dr Ana Menjivar from PAHO HQ.
Also present at the meeting were the PAHO/WHO Country Representative Luis Codina, and other officials from PAHO Guyana’s office and the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation.
