An East Bank Essequibo (EBE) man has been charged with attempting to murder an Essequibo businessman at Onderneeming Sand Pit, Essequibo Coast.
Kelon Fredericks, 21, of Tuschen Housing Scheme, EBE, and also of Onder-neeming Sand Pit, Essequibo Coast, made his appearance on Tuesday before Magistrate Esther Sam at the Anna Regina Magistrate’s Court where the charge was laid on him.
The defendant was charged with attempt to commit murder on 27-year-old Randolph Williams of Lot 428 Phase Two, Onderneeming Sand Pit, Essequibo Coast, on Sunday February 4
He was not required to plead and although the prosecutor objected to bail, it was granted by the magistrate in the sum of $500,000.
The matter was then adjourned until March 14.
