An Essequibo man was yesterday remanded to prison on two counts of simple larceny when he appeared before Magistrate Esther Sam at the Suddie Magistrate’s Court.
Ryan Rahayida, 31, of Onderneeming, Essequibo Coast pleaded not guilty to the offences which he allegedly committed during the course of last weekend at both Adventure and Suddie on a 57-year-old resident and a 27-year-old resident of the respective villages. During the court proceedings, the police prosecutor objected to bail and Rahayida was remanded to prison. He is scheduled to return to court on March 16.
