The Demerara Cricket Board (DCB) yesterday announced its 14-member squad for the upcoming Guyana Cricket Board under-15 Inter-County tournament.
The squad was selected by the junior selection panel following the completion of the board’s Inter-Association tournament which was won by Georgetown when it concluded recently having started back in November last year.
East Coast Demerara’s captain and all-rounder, Mickel Sharma, will lead the squad with Emmanuel Lewis of Georgetown serving as his deputy.
Also in the squad are Munesh Outar (East Coast), Permeshwar Ram (West Demerara), Ravin Singh (Georgetown), Navin Narine (East Coast), Trilok Nanan (Georgetown), Roupie Rajaram (East Bank), Brandon Henry (Georgetown), Shaker Ramesh (West Demerara), Reyaz Latif (Georgetown), Darwin la Rose (Georgetown), Ravin Persaud (East Coast), Joshua Charles (Georgetown).
Experienced National under-15 coach, Latchman Yadram, who also served as coach for the East Coast side will oversee the DCB squad with East Coast’s Kumar Bishundial serving as Manager.
Also, Nicholas Simon (East Coast), Udesh Jaikaran (East Coast), Thierry Davis (Georgetown), Kadeem Campbell (Georgetown), Samir Bhola (Georgetown) and Anel Haimnarine (Georgetown) were named as reserves.
The Inter-County tournament is expected to get underway from March 14.
