Sohan Goolab called ‘Shortman’, a 49-year-old fisherman of Anns Grove Squatting Area, East Coast Demerara, was arrested on Wednesday, March 8 and charged on Friday with the possession of 4 grammes of cocaine.
According to the police, the defendant appeared at the Suddie Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Esther Sam on Friday, where the charge was read to him. Goolab pleaded guilty and was sentenced to two months imprisonment and fined $30,000.
