Christ Church Secondary School to be rebuilt with GoG funding – Education ministry

The Ministry of Education (MoE) is stating categorically, that contrary to reports in some sections of the media, the Christ Church Secondary School will be rebuilt with funding from the Government of Guyana. This statement was in response to an erroneous report alleging, “Oil company donates $4M to help rebuild Christ Church.”

The school construction is expected to be completed in January 2024. An invitation for bids was published in Kaieteur News on January 28. The tender for the design and construction of the school was opened on  February 16 by the National Pro-curement and Tender Administration Board (NPTAB).
