A magistrate at Linden had publicly summoned a powerful PPP strongman to appear before her and he is yet to enter the courtroom. That was almost a year ago. The PPP strongman was seen recently in meetings with the PM at Linden.
There hasn’t been one visit made to Linden by President Ali without the strongman in his company.
A family recently contacted me and they were frustrated and on the verge of tears. They lamented that poor people cannot get justice at Linden because perpetrators of crime just have to contact that PPP “official without a portfolio” who in turn will direct senior police officers at Linden to stand down.
