Christianburg/Wismar, Linden Technical Institute, and President’s College were among the winners when the respective Regional Conferences in the Youth Basketball Guyana (YBG) championship continued on Friday.
In the Linden/Kwakwani division, Christianburg/Wismar defeated Mackenzie High 35-29. Tishan Kitt and Julian Garson scored 13 and 11 points respectively. For the loser, Ezeke Leacock scored 14 points.
On the other hand, Linden Technical Institute downed Linden Foundation 40-20. Neil Marks led the way with 16 points, whilst Jamol Semple added 12 points. For the loser, S. George netted nine points.
In the East Coast section, President’s College mauled Buxton 31-7. Aiden Semple and Renako Vaughn scored eight points each, whilst Alwin DeFrera added six points. For the loser, Osei Bess scored four points.
In other results, West Demerara crushed Patentia 40-4 in the West Demerara section. Jonathan Richards and Michael Anderson led the rout with 11 points each, whilst Brandon Nurse scored seven points. For the loser, Joshua Smith scored four points.
In the East Bank section, Covent Garden dismissed Diamond 26-8. Aman Yusuff, Michael Harte, and Jonathan Giddings scored 11, eight, and six points respectively. For the loser Jamall John added five points.
In the Georgetown female division, Marian Academy downed Queen’s College 9-7. Also the Bishops’ High defeated Central High via walkover.
Also, Cummings Lodge defeated La Bonne Intention via walkover in the East Coast division, whilst Camille’s Academy defeated Houston 8-5 in the East Bank pool.
