Dear Editor,
I will keep this one as short as possible on a matter that is affecting us all in our beautiful oil rich country. I’ve read a few articles mentioning that local farmers are complaining about the importation of goods which are being sold cheaper and also witness this first hand in our local markets.
Now my question is how is it that imported goods are being sold cheaper than our local goods? What is affecting the cost of our local produce to be so high? Questions that should be taken into serious consideration given our future that we are projecting under “One Guyana”.
Sincerely,
M. Imrit
