National youth players, Alvin Mohabir and Mavindra Dindyal, showed they were a cut above the rest, hitting tons to lead Georgetown to a massive 264-run win over West Demerara in the Demerara Cricket Board Under-19 Inter-Association tournament.
At the Georgetown Cricket Club ground, Georgetown won the toss and opted to bat first, posting 312 for four from their 50 overs. West Demerara managed just 48 before they were bowled out in 17.4 overs.
Georgetown lost Jadon Campbell and Jeremiah Hohenkirk to slip to 24 for two at the end of the sixth over but the two century makers joined forces to pile on 194 for the third wicket.
