The Georgetown Chamber of Com-merce and Industry (GCCI) yesterday said it is deeply saddened by the loss of its Past President, Denis E. Moore.
In a release, the Chamber said that Moore held the position of President from 1989 to 1992 and again from 1994 to 1995, during which he made remarkable strides in advancing the organization and the private sector as a whole.
“We recognize Mr. Moore’s pivotal role in shaping the GCCI and we are committed to upholding his vision of empowering the private sector to become the driving force behind economic activity in Guyana. This is a task that Mr. Moore contributed to significantly through his energetic involvement in the activities connected to the Economic Recovery Programme (ERP). His distinguished service to the Chamber and unwavering support for the business community will forever be cherished and valued”, the release said.
The GCCI extended its deepest sympathies to Moore’s family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.
