Timehri Panthers were crowned the East Bank Football Association (EBFA) Tiger Rentals U13 champions on Saturday at the Guyana Football Federation National Training Centre, Providence.
Panthers in their final match of the league, defeated the eventual second place finisher Swan FC 2-1. Mekaiya Daniels and Shawn Stoby were on target for the winning team while Kevon Charles netted for the losing team.
With the win, Timehri ended the event with a perfect 21 points from seven matches. Meanwhile, Friendship All-Stars ended in the third position on 12 points owing to a superior goal difference to fourth place Herstelling Raiders.
The fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth positions were occup[ied by Diamond United, Timehri Panthers B, Samatta Point/Kaneville and Agricola Red Triangle respectively.
On the individual side of the presentation, Timehri Panthers secured every award. Michel Correia was adjudged the Most Valuable Player while Samuel Tasha and Ken Benn copped the Highest Goal Scorer and Best Goalkeeper accolades respectively. The Best Coach award was carted off by Colin David.
