Jermaine Anthony, a 34-year-old shopkeeper from the Sophia Squatting area, was arrested on April 22 by ranks of the Timehri Police Station and was charged on Tuesday with the following offences:
** Possession of a Fire-arm without Licence
** Possession of Ammunition without Licence
The defendant appeared at the Diamond/Golden Grove Magistrate’s Court #2 before Magistrate Dylon Bess, where the charges were read to him. He pleaded guilty on each count and was sentenced to three years imprisonment.
