Back Circle, Bent Street, Albouystown, and Vengy recorded victories when the One Guyana Futsal Championship continued on Tuesday evening at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue.
Back Circle crushed Kitty/Campbellville 6-1. Jermaine Beckles netted a hat trick in the 10th, 11th, and 23rd minute, whilst Stephon Cooler, Simeon Moore, and Selwyn Williams netted in the 17th, 21st, and 24th minute respectively. On target in the loss was Deon Alfred in the 13th minute.
Similarly, Bent Street mauled Avocado Ballers by a 14-1 scoreline. Adrian Aaron tallied seven conversions in the fifth, sixth, 13th, 14th, 16th, 17th, and 29th minute.
Adding respective hat tricks were Pernell Schultz in the 19th, 22nd, and 28th and Clive Nobrega in the seventh, ninth, and 29th minute. Adding to the rout in the 27th minute was Daniel Wilson. For the loser, Leonardo Thomas netted in the 15th minute.
Meanwhile,
Albouystown dismissed Sophia 3-0. Joshua Samuels bagged a double in the third and 24th minute whilst Dwayne James found the back of the net in the 30th minute.
On the other hand, Vengy overcame Alexander Village 3-1. Salas Joiber recorded a double in the 28th and 30th minute, while Carlos Escobar scored in the 27th minute. For the loser, Christopher Williams netted in the 25th minute.
The event continues tomorrow at the same venue with another round of matches. The winner of the tournament will pocket $1,000,000 and the championship trophy, while the second, third, and fourth-place finishers will receive $500,000, $200,000, and $100,000 respectively. On the individual side, the Most Valuable Player of the event will receive a motorcycle.
