A 13-year-old student of Wismar/Christianburg Secondary School drown-ed yesterday during an outing at Buck Creek in Linden, Region Ten.
The dead teen has been identified as Anthony Gordon of One Mile, Linden.
Stabroek News understands that he was swimming in the company of a few others and went under. When time elapsed and he did not surface an alarm was sounded.
His family and those present at the creek immediately launched a search. His lifeless body was discovered shortly after and fished out of the creek.
He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Linden Hospital Complex.
