A Gold Miner has now found himself in hot waters after he was allegedly nabbed by the Ranks of the Guyana Police Force with over half a pound of marijuana during a raid exercise.
According to a police statement from the police, the name of the suspect has been given as, 26-year-old, Akeem Charles, a gold miner who resides in Tabatinga, Lethem.
It was further explained that during the raid, ranks found three white plastic bags. Two of the bags contained a quantity of leaves, seeds and stems, while the other bag contained 59 transparent ziplock bags with leaves, seeds and stems, all suspected to be cannabis.
When questioned about the marijuana, Charles allegedly said that “Is just a lil hustle, Officer.”
He was later escorted to the Lethem Police Station, where the cannabis was weighed, marked and lodged.
A statement was also taken, which includes confession of Charles and he expected to make a court appearance soon.
