The orthodox James, forced the referee to put a halt of the contest about 90 seconds after the opening bell against his 66-68kg rival.

The visiting Vergenoegen boxers stole the show however, and tallied six points on the nine-fight card to lift the Best Gym trophy ahead of runner up, FYF. Other winners on the card included: Johnny Alejandro, Jamel Jones, Keon Britton, Shaquan Marshall, Yohance Marshall, Jeremiah McGarrell, Tiquan Sampson and Yurdul Gala.

There was also an exhibition bout involving Alesha Jackman and Akela Vancooten both of the FYF Gym.

At the conclusion of the event, former world boxing champion, Shondell Alfred presented medals and trophies to the boxers and officials.
