East Coast Demerara won the Tiger Rentals League Cup defeating Bartica 1-0 in the final yesterday at the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) National Training Centre, Providence.
The East Coast Demerara outfit prevailed with Kennard Halley recording the only conversion of the match in the 40th minute to seal the championship. With the result, the East Coast Demerara unit completed the double as they had previously won the Tiger Rentals Football League.
Rupununi defeated Georgetown 3-1 in the third place playoff.
In the 5-6 positional playoff, Upper Demerara crushed East Bank 3-0 whilst West Berbice downed East Berbice 2-0 in the 7-8 section. In the 9-10 playoff, Essequibo defeated West Demerara 2-1 on penalty kicks after regulation time ended 1-1.
