A 30-year-old labourer of Onderneem-ing Village, West Coast Berbice was yesterday remanded to prison after he was charged with attempted murder.
Kevin Sooklall called ‘Smokey’ appeared virtually at the Fort Wellington Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Peter Hugh after having been arrested on 6th May, 2023.
The accused allegedly committed the offence on fifty-one-year old Trevor Blair, a labourer of Hopetown Village, Berbice, but had managed to elude the police.
He was not required to enter a plea and will return to court on 18th May, 2023.
