Swag Entertainment and YMCA will contest the final of the Linden ‘One Guyana’ Beach Football Championship following semi-final wins on Saturday evening outside the PPP/C office in Mackenzie.
YMCA downed R9 by a 5-3 scoreline. Jamal Bentick fashioned a hat-trick in the fifth, 19th and 36th minute, whilst Kevin Gittens added a brace in the 23rd and 38th minute.
For R9, Jehu Regis recorded a double in the 22nd and 38th minute whilst Jonah Simon scored in the 24th minute.
Swag Entertainment whipped Young Gunners 4-2. Donovan Francis tallied a brace in the second and 10th minute whilst Colwyn Drakes crafted a double in the 29th and 30th minute. On target for Young Gunners with a double in the 27th and 39th minute was Devonte Tappin. The winner of the event will pocket $400,000 while the second, third, and fourth-place finishers will receive $100,000, $75,000, and $25,000 respectively.
