Eureka Medical Laboratory is facing the loss of an undisclosed amount of cash, after bandits armed with guns stole a safe from its Thomas Street premises.
Reports are that the incident occurred on Tuesday at about 11:45 pm.
At the time, two security guards were on duty when two unidentified men armed with guns pounced on them, while they were in a guard hut at the front of the building.
The guards after being accosted were warned not to press the panic button. They were then forced by the intruders to open the building
According to the police, the two men ordered the guards to take them to the boss’ office, where they were ordered to lie face-down on the ground. Their hands were then tied behind their backs with plastic zip ties.
The bandits proceeded to cart off a metal safe and escaped in a white Toyota IST motorcar bearing number plate PPP 4592, which was parked on the eastern side of Thomas Street facing north.
