Twenty-five contracts were issued yesterday for the rehabilitation of Miscellaneous and Urban Roads throughout regions four and five.
Contractors received their signed documents from the Ministry of Public Works and work is expected to begin within days, and completed in the next three to 12 months.
The design features rehabilitation of existing alignments to either asphaltic concrete, and or rigid pavement, at a total cost of $809,118,688
Minister of Public Works Juan Edghill oversaw the process, which was guided by Permanent Secretary, Vladim Persaud and Procurement Manager, Andy Mahadeo, in the ministry’s boardroom.
