Under the tutelage of award-winning theatre personality Mariatha Causeway AKA Jennifer Thomas, the management of Learning Birds exposed all the teachers to a series of drama workshops, which lasted approximately three months.
The teachers were taught skills such as moods, tones, pacing, timing with clarity, theatre discipline, presentations in drama, poetry, skits, monologue, social commentary and reality portions.
During that period, the teachers gained lots of confidence and decided to display what they have learned on stage. The result is the “Tweet Tweet” show, which will hit the stage of the National Cultural Centre on July 2 at 7 pm.
Learning Birds owner for Ivor Thompson said, “all the teachers will be displaying their life at home and school, what is goes on during the teacher’s lunch break, about both disciplined and undisciplined parents, how kids learn through play, dance and commentary.”
Learning Birds encompasses Kiskadee Kids Daycare and Harpy Eagle Nursery and Primary schools.
