The 75th anniversary of the Enmore Martyrs was observed yesterday at the monument site. On June 16, 1948 sugar workers: Rambarran, Pooran, Lallabagee, Kissoon and Surijballie died at the hands of colonial police while demonstrating in front of the Enmore factory.
