A Region 9 official was on Wednesday arrested by police in relations to a rape allegation made against him.
Up to press time the man remained in police custody assisting with investigations. According to the information Stabroek News received, the man was arrested after the allegation surfaced on Social Media site Facebook some days ago. Investigations are ongoing.
