Colonel Julius Skeete has completed the Regional Defence Fellowship Programme (RDFP) at the National Defence University in Washington, USA.
A release from the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) yesterday said that Skeete was also conferred with a Master of Arts in Strategic Security Studies. He is also the recipient of the University’s Diploma for successfully completing the United States Joint Professional Military Education Phase 11 and Senior-Level Education.
The release said that Colonel Skeete was one of the leading performers on the programme and was awarded the Academic Year 2023 College of International Security Affairs Chancellor’s Award for Leadership and Service. Additionally, he was selected as College of International Security Affairs International Fellow Class Leader.
Skeete stated that the RDFP was very rigorous and extremely rewarding.
Chief of Staff, Brigadier Omar Khan in offering congratulations to Skeete noted that through his sterling efforts, he has established that personnel from the GDF and country can deliver performances that can equal and surpass those of even more developed countries.
