St. Stanislaus College and the Bishops’ High will contest the Georgetown final tomorrow in the Youth Basketball Guyana ‘Regional Conference Championships’ following semi-final victories on Sunday.
Hosted at the St. Stanislaus College hard-court, the hosts dismantled St. Rose’s High 46-28. Brandon McKoy top scored with 29 points, three rebounds and as many steals. Supporting with seven points and five rebounds was Lemuel Heyliger.
For St Rose’s, Chad Martin tallied 16 points and four rebounds.
In the other fixture, the Bishops’ High overcame Government Technical Institute (GTI) 31-27. Matthias Arrindel bagged 17 points and six rebounds whilst Daniel Bailey added nine points and nine rebounds.
For GTI, Martin Edwards recorded seven points and seven rebounds, whilst Peter Langevine contributed seven points and seven rebounds.
The final will be staged at the Burnham Court, Parade ground. The Regional Conference is sponsored by ExxonMobil, with support also provided by Edward B. Beharry, G-Boats GY, and the National Sports Commission.
