The fifth edition of the Aliann Pompey Invitational which was set to run off at the National Track and Field Centre on July 22 has been canceled.
This is according to a release disseminated to the media yesterday.
The release stated that the reason for the cancellation is the incomplete state of the synthetic track at Edinburg.
In the release, it stated that “due to the incomplete state of the country’s only synthetic facility that possesses the necessary certification and accommodations for international events, the decision to cancel was made.”
