The police have reported that the body of Palmer’s Point, Lower Mazaruni boat captain, Carl Subratie, 61, who was reported missing on June 18, 2023 was found yesterday.

Reports are that Carl left his home on Saturday to transport a group of passengers to an interior location like he has done for the past 27 years.
As time went by, the deceased man’s family tried to reach out to him via his cell phone but got no response.
Two days later there was still no answer, prompting some of his family members to begin looking for him at the location that he was supposed to have headed to. Upon arrival, persons at the location told the family that he had left since June 17 to return home. It was at this point that the family decided to make a missing person’s report to the police and a search and rescue effort was subsequently launched. However, since then, all that they have managed to find are some pieces of clothing and other items belonging to the missing man.
His boat was also not found and his relatives became fearful that something may have happened to him while on his way back from his trip.
