Akeem Lewis appeared at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday before Senior Magistrate Leron Daly where he was charged with robbery with aggravation. He pleaded not guilty.
It is alleged that on Friday, May 12, at Brickdam and Cornhill streets, Stabroek, Georgetown, while being in the company of others, Lewis robbed Romel Sergeant of one Samsung Galaxy A55 smartphone, valuing $50,000 and $20,000 cash.
The prosecutor objected to bail and the magistrate concurred by refusing bail.
Lewis was remanded to prison until his next court appearance on July 12.
