It was another disappointing day for Guyana men’s hockey team at the Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games after they were beaten 2-3 by host nation the Dominican Republic (DR) yesterday in Santo Domingo.
The Guyanese were hoping for a victory following their opening game 1-4 lost against Trinidad and Tobago but they came up short against the home side.
Guyana had taken the lead in the 18th minute when Robert France scored from a field goal but the advantage was short-lived after Argeny Cabrera of the DR converted a penalty stroke in the 23rd minute to tie the scores at 1-1.
