Guyana men’s hockey team ended their campaign at Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games winless following defeat against Jamaica 3-4 in the fifth-eight-cross over match yesterday in the Dominican Republic.
The local side blew away another early advantage similar to their game against Cuba on Monday. Leading goal scorer Andrew Stewart had given Guyana the lead in the 9th minute from one of their now famous penalty corners.
In fact, Guyana has had the distinction of scoring the most penalty corners (6) in the preliminary competition among the eight competing teams.
