A 38-year-old motorcyclist of Linden, Region Ten died following a collision with a concrete lamp post on the Houston Public Road in the vicinity of Rahaman’s Park yesterday afternoon.
The police said that Selwyn Archibald, the rider of motorcycle, CK 5480, died shortly after being taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital. He was being treated for broken legs, arms and abrasions about his body.
Enquiries revealed that around 12:15 pm Archibald was heading south along the Houston Public road at a fast rate. While negotiating the turn at Rahaman’s Park, he lost control of his motorcycle and collided with the concrete lamp post.
Archibald sustained injuries about his body as a result of the collision and was picked up in a conscious condition by emergency medical technicians.
He was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he was admitted. He succumbed to his injuries at around 12.25 pm yesterday while receiving medical treatment.
Investigations are ongoing.
