Board of Industrial Training facilities for NA, Corriverton

The Ministry of Labour’s Board of Industrial Training yesterday signed two contracts for the construction of two new training facilities in New Amsterdam and Corriverton, Region Six.

The facilities will be built according to the Caribbean Vocational Qualifications (CVQs) standards by local contractors, a release from the Ministry of Labour said.

According to the ministry, $44. 8 million was signed off to NK Enterprise Incorporated to erect the facility in New Amsterdam and $39.9 million went to Perba Trading and Construction Company for the construction at Corriverton.

Both facilities will have similar designs, with two stories, measuring 2000 square foot for each floor, totaling 4000 square feet. The assigned engineer will be visiting both sites tomorrow to engage contractors with works expecting to commence Thursday, July 13, 2023.
